Could it be an overnite ride to a midday game and then an overnite ride back to
school for the away team
This in an era of more school and less party

The thing I noticed from running back thruthe schedules is that many of the
games were from the bordering state's schools. It also appeared that they had
a thing for playing Pennsylvania schools in that time frame as the played
Pittsburgh and Penn State quite a few years.
Must have been a site since the station is just a couple blocks from the
univeristy in Lincoln. And what better way to get there as I-80 wasn't even a
dream yet!
