Leo
I was working that nite also and Shoe called me after he got in.
It was the only time I had ever heard Shoe shook up. He said the guy looked
him right in the eye.
One week I moved over on the Chicago Chief's job for a vacation relief and that
week we hit and killed someone every nite. I had to do all the paper work and
while being in an office and having to deal with it it still shakes you up. On
the way home I had to cross the EJ&E on US 34 and still do not know if the
lights and bells went off but it sure looked like a headlight coming north it
scared the you know what out of me

I am not a rail but know a couple out here in ex-SP land and they say
if you are going to hit someone do not look at them, look away. Because
they will look up at you at the last moment and then you can't get their
face out of your mind.
