Australia of the ex Burlington General Pershing observation car 'Silver
Star' by it's owner BHP Iron Ore. You can view the sale details at
www.smithbroughton.com.au. The car appears to be in relatively good
condition considering it's location and use. Unfortunately, I am not sure
what the future holds for 'Silver Star' considering it's relatively remote

Hello CB&Qers, I am a CB&Q fan from Australia, I recently obtained a copy
of "Burlington Route Streamlined Observation Cars" by J.J.Boyle/TLC
publishing. On page 19 it states that "Silver Star" reportedly still exists
in Australia. I have tried to get some information as to its whereabouts but
have come up with nothing and no one seems to know anything about it, so I
am hoping someone out there may have some information on it. I am unsure
whether it would be in actuall rail use, privately owned or on private
property. I would like to track it down and get some photos and post them
for the CBQ group. Hopefully someone out there may be able to help.
