Andrew - I have had CB&Q T.O.'s in storage for 30 yrs and one is a 100 yrs old. They seem to store easily as there is no acid content in the 'tissue'. (as opposed to some newsprint, etc) As with any old paper material you do want to avoid 'oily' hands but not certain gloves would be needed (all you would use them for is to keep skin oils off the 'paper' but remember these have all been handled at the time they were written & issued. Also the carbon does not fade as easily as ink but as with any paper with writing on it, keep away from direct sunlight and fluorescent lighting. Gerald Mom and I had found a small boatload of train orders in the attic in several boxes of dads RR magazines, and other misc. boxes. I have the archival grade clear sheets to put them into. Any suggestions on a type of glove to wear, so as not to damage the carbon on the back of the paper? Surgical glove, cloth jersey? _________________________________________________________________ Rediscover Hotmail®: Get quick friend updates right in your inbox. http://windowslive.com/RediscoverHotmail?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_HM_Rediscover_Updates2_042009 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
