Pawnee City was left because it was full of storage.
There is a little business at Red Cloud. Alma with a short
line from there West.
Notice the UP is gone at Beatrice. At Beatrice the BNSF
got three tracks set up to load when needed. Think they
built the new stuff except to the end of the rear end on
the grade. They have two units available. They were loading
at Wednesday. That would mean 112 cars and 220,000 apiece
be car loaded. Supposed to have all done at 12 hours. That
is standard about just about everywhere. If a crew cars to
make the 112/220,000/12 hours there is not much money at
the amounts. For example the only business now loading
between Aurora and Galesburg is Galva (Gateway Coop)
and Greenwood (Northern Crossing Rail LLC) at least with
corn or beans.
"Alive and well" while I guess that would be to a point
of view. There may be some crews that like them send two
crews to go East from Lincoln to make less work. Seems
like a waste but I guess sending two crews might mean they
can at least get something moving. That way the second
crew can sit around for a few hours until they decide to
take a drive to wherever it might show up.
