I developed this file; the triple chime should be correct if the movie
sound was actually recorded, which I believe it was.  Only the 9900,
and only for some time around a year, had this triple chime; I under-
stand the crew hated it because it was inside the intake shroud and 
seriously blasted them.  It was later exchanged for a single chime on
the roof.  Both 9900 installations can be seen in the available books.
I would liken the triple chime to the sound of a steam caliope.  

I could not weed out the original bell sound with Audacity, although I
could hear it well enough to find a fire-alarm type bell which matched
it.  CBQ was apparently very concerned that passengers in terminals,
being used to loud steam engines, might not hear the Zephyr coming and
going, thus the alarm-bell and shrill chimes.  I drive a Prius, and 
have the same problem with pedestrians and cyclists. 

My engine idle file is very good.  The power-up sounds available 
proved very difficult to re-create, but I spent a lot of time on them,
and think they are representative.
