Denny,
in answer to your questions:
> What is the nature of your capital funding, and your operating budget?
The building is financed by a private group, and the Museum will be leasing a
good share of the facility. A final operating budget has not been established.
> I would presume by your choice of name that you are state supported, and if
> so, you also may be governed by a state entity. Is this correct?
No, the 501c3 Museum will represent the entire state, but is not a State
supported group by design - it is structured to function without a reliance on
governmental funds.
> Do you have any anticipation of visitor numbers, and what will be the
> projected admission cost?
Estimated years 1-3 visitation is approximately 22,500; no final admissions
fees established at present. We are confident in its placement with Mount
Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorials within twelve miles (their yearly
visitations totaling in the millions), plus its location next to the popular
1880 TRAIN.
> Will there be professional staffing?
2-3 full/part time staff members and 10-14 volunteers anticipated by end of
year 1 of operations
Thanks for your interest.
Rick
