Rupert has stumbled across an important find!!!!

The link he cites has a digital copy of the W.W. Baldwin  Chicago, Burlington 
And Quincy Documentary History Volume 1 Lines East of the Mississippi River.

So far Vols. 2 Lines West and Vol. 3 C&S & FW&D are not found.   I also could 
not find the accompanying fold-out maps for each line in Vol.1.

But this is a great and valuable find for the CB&Q Historian.

  I did a quick search on the on-line Internet Archive at 
http://www.archive.org/index.php and found several books/texts on the CB&Q 
including a CB&Q dictionary, "The Mail Pay" (1909 text about RPO's on the Q) 
and books on the Great Strike. There are also general railroad books, as well 
as music, radio, podcasts, etc.
