FOR SALE: Burlington-Rock Island Railroad (former Trinity & Brazos
Valley Railway) valuation era right-of-way maps for two sections of
the Dallas-Houston mainline. These are two rolls of several 2' x 4'
blueprint style documents undoubtedly made off of the vellum
originals and taped together into long strips. Both are in fine
condition. These maps are painstakingly detailed and show all
trackage, bridges, structures, customer locations, connecting
railroads, property lines, and real estate data. Each document is
labeled: Trinity & Brazos Valley Railway, Office of Valuation
Engineer, Teague, TX, June 30, 1916. Scale: 1 inch equals 400 feet.
Here is the specific territory covered by each roll:
Burlington-Rock Island Section G3 (Station 2040+98 to 2641+77):
Covers the right-of-way from MP 178 to MP 167 and also has detailed
station maps for Concord and Flynn, TX. The proximity and structures
of the connecting Houston & Texas Central Railroad at Flynn are also
shown.
Burlington-Rock Island Section G7 (Station 4338+55 to 4655+24 and
3286+09 to 2991+97): Covers the right-of-way from MP 134 to MP 123
and also has detailed station maps for Singleton and Shiro, TX. The
interlocking with and structures of the International Great Northern
Railway at Singleton are also shown.
