I have posted two photos of a railroad car I spotted on W. Helm St.
just a few blocks west of Main Street in Brookfield, Missouri.
Brookfield is historic CB & Q. territory. Can anyone tell me what it
was used for.
It does not seem to have been cobbled up. There doesn't appear to
ever have been any side entrances to the car. Rather, the only
visible entrance to the car was through one end. This is visible in
one of the photos I have posted. The other photo is of the other
end and seems to show some monitoring device. There is a number #74
in a circle visible on the car.
The latch on the end door says "W. H. Minter".
Thanks for any help.
~John
