Although I remember well the director's artful fiction of depicting IC electric
MU cars on the
Chicago Wabash Street L in the great Paul Newman movie THE STING (1973), I was
surprised
to also notice on a recent re-run that the speeding sleeping cars of the 20TH
CENTURY
LIMITED were represented several times by a long string of darkened CB&Q green
suburban
cars being propelled through the night on a high embankment (locomotive not
depicted).
