Bob,
It is interesting how things never change. BNSF only has power as far
as Grand Junction. While BNSF has locomotives and freight West of
Grand Junction no BNSF employees actually run any trains. It either
gos via contracts. UTAH RR, or via UP under a contract further West.
Midvale, Salt Lake City, and Ogden all are contracted using UTAH RR.
I think there is one UP crew at Elko but have to switch on both a UP
and a BNSF unit to supply the business to about one half of each.
