Bill,
LaCrosse is currently at 8.87. This would be no "action stage"
and essential means there is no flooding.
Largest "Historical Crest" was 17.90 on 04-22-1965. While I
can not prove that the 4000 should have been new moved from
Galesburg to LaCrosse and I can not see where it would have
gone both the Milwaukee and CB&Q above that level. Both the
4000 should be above the crest.
Winona is at 9.24. This would be a pretty much normal at this
time of average time of month. Largest "Historical Crest" was
20.77 on 04-19-1965. Everything here was flooded, including
both Winona and all trackage. Levee was done later after to
make that current crest and got the 20.07 04-17-2001 crest OK.

Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q Sites Flooded by Rivers ?
Thanks to Bill Ewinger & others for posting the info on the flood in
Burlington, IA. Hopefully the water will recede soon so that the
recovery can begin.
Are other CB&Q sites, depots, and/or equipment also flooded ?
#4000 in LaCrosse ?
The depot, freight house, & National Mississippi River Museum in
Dubuque ? Savanna ?
That nicely restored depot in Thomson, IL ?
Fort Madison's ATSF loco & depot museum and Q depot ?
Keokuk depot ?
Ottumwa depot & #3001 ?
Any place else with Q depots, equipment, etc. in Q territory being
flooded by the Mississippi or other bodies of water ?
Thanks in advance.
Bill H
