HI ALL
there have not been any trains trough burlington since some time last
night.main street and thrid street crossing are still above water but main
street is closed from elm street to valley street do to the flooding steam
engine is in more then a foot of water right now.the entrie yards now are flood
with the deeper water at the main street end.it appears by looking at the
railroad bridge that there is about 24" clearence between the river and the
bottom of the beams.no boat pf any type would now clear under the
bridge, cureent river stage is 23.71 and the crest will be at 25.8 7/10's of
foot higher then 1993.
