Bill,
According to a post following yours, Pete Hedgpeth, said that there
was an H&SJ engine house where maintenance was performed on motorcars.
I went to the location he mentioned and got a photo. It was occupied
by a firm called St. Joe Precast Concrete. It looks at first like the
building couldn't have possibly been old enough for H&SJ, but then I
looked a little further and noticed the old timbers at the top of the
structure. Anyway, I took a shot from Monterey St. so you could see
the track leading up to the engine house.
