That actually makes a lot of sense if they were bought for use on coal trains
in So. Ill. The coal export activity around Sheridan was taking off right
around merger time so I suspect they sent them out in that direction to see how
they did with long haul coal trains. They were mixed with the U25C's and
SD45's on many occasions.
