No I do not see It to be unreasonable to ask if someone else
would take the concept and create the own project. Great more power to them.
I can see that being discussed on the list.
Yes there are most likely individuals that would help a valid project. I
understand the call for the book. I bought my original off e-bay and paid
about $75. I would love to see another Way Car book come out. No matter if
it is a reprint or totally new product.
I think what we are trying to say is the sarcastic or cynical comments about
the disappointment with Milepost 206 should be directed to Mile Post 206 and
not the list.

Subject: RE: [CBQ] Waycar Book Posts
Richard & Dave - While I can see the reasons for not cluttering the
list with MilePost One Waycar Book issues, and the post that
initiated this was (I suspect ?) a sarcastic or cynical one, the
actual message - that wouldn't it be nice if someone were to put out
a Waycar book is not necessarily having to do with MilePost One. If
you look at models, if a model is announced for such and such a date,
and it isn't delivered within 3-4 years past that date, it is
reasonable to ask if someone else might be willing to deliver the
product since it appears the original one isn't going to be
completed. That happens far more times than any of us can
count. The same things happens with books - and magazines. If one
looks at some projects, it is almost a surprise when they DO get
completed and DO get completed on time.
So is it unreasonable to ask that someone else take the concept and
create their own project? Certainly there are sources of photos out
there. With the original book commanding fairly decent dollars on
the market, a project would seem to be a valid prospect. One not
associated with nor dependant upon the previous one. Or all Waycar
book posts under the fiat?
I am not trying to create turmoil or controversy, I really am
serious. There has been an expression of interest given the obvious
lack in the market and the models that have been coming out.
