"Athearn recently announced an HO wide vision caboose in CB&Q (along
with GN)in their RTR series." The Athearn caboose is based on a RI prototype,
and is noticeably shorter (reused underframes from retired RI cabooses) than
the wide vision cabooses used by CB&Q, GN, NP, and pretty much everyone else.
Also, the roof panels on Athearn model are unique to RI, if I recall correctly.
The Atlas caboose isn't 100% (RDG prototype) but is significantly closer to
the average ICC wide vision caboose right out of the box, and even more so now
that they are putting on roofwalks when appropriate. Carl J. Marsico
