IIRC the F9A test unit went the way of EMD's SD45X test unit #5740--they
were scrapped. I remember seeing something about this on Loconotes and saw
the picture of the frame of the 5740 at Mount Vernon after it was stripped.
The B-unit test car may still be around along with the EMD 218, the former
Amtrak SDP40F test unit (EMD called it a SD50M as it was the testbed for the
SD50 series units)
