I'm essentially doing the same thing, some others will have more details but
this is what I have for now. CZ sleepers and dome observation ran on the Ak
Sar Ben Zephyr. Some of the passenger train consist sheet from the Q
Historical Society have which cars were running on the Ak Sar Ben.
Generally speaking, the train usually had two 10-6 sleepers, occasionally one
of the 16 section sleepers would either replace one of the 10-6s or be an
additional sleeper. The Vista Dome Sleeper Observation would run
occasionallly, it appears (at least in the mid 50's) that either the CZ Dome
Sleeper Obs or an Northern Pacific 4/4/4 Dome Sleeper would bring up the
markers. In the 4 data sheets I have, no other CZ cars are in the consist.
Also, it was a mix of CB&Q, WP or D&RGW CZ cars on the train.
