The "hog board" or 'hogging" list at Aurora was very informal. A man simply
let the caller know he was available for work on his rest day or even between
runs. Some guys made large amounts of money by holding a night dinky or local
frt and let it be known they could be called to fill in during the day.
So when the weather was lousy,holidays and summer vacation periods these
guys could go for days or even weeks working other jobs and then not being
rested for their regular assignment.
So here's the quiz: What was their payment for missing their regular job
