I agree. The Cicero, Eola, & Galesburg were lite all he time but
only used as needed. I did use Cicero Hump into West to East end.
It was not necessary to even look at Cicero Hump before beyond the
point where you switched as instructed. A job switching as it
humped was always switching East and got it's road when it moved.
Lite was either needed or not needed, it did not matter.

My experience was the yard signals were only used where sight lines were bad
and volume dictated their use. Please check the archive for a discussion on
the operation of the yard signal in the East Yard at Eola.
The only other yard signal location I was familiar with was the hump at
Cicero.
