I'm glad you disqualified me as I wouldn't be much help on this one...However
here's one more you might add to your "list".

What was the term used when someone retired, before the standard retirement age
on "disability"?

Pete

It's way too quiet on the list of late.

Here's a test and the winner gets lunch at the Zephyr Grill, just inside the
fence at 14th St yard (oh,that's right it got knocked down in the last yard
reconstruction) anyway:............................... OK, I'll make it worth
while. The person who answers correctly and sufficiently, receives a copy of
"Rockefellers Secret Weapon" still in plastic wrap. This is the history of
UTLX with very limited circulation to employees and customers. I will deliver
at the Spring meet and only at the Spring meet.

1)What was the term on the Q (can't do it anymore) for a brakeman who
relinquished his Condrs rights(chucked 'em) and why would he do that ? Just as
explanation this meant the man could never again work as a Condr, only as brkmn.
You had to sign a letter that went into your file as this was serious business.

2)This practice was allowed system wide but was probably most prevalent on
the old Aurora zone of the Chgo and Aurora Div. Why ?

3)Give example of a persons name and jobs held after "chucking".

4)What was the downside? Give an example.

5)For the true researcher, here's a bonus question: What was the "schedule"
rule # that covered this practice ?

6) How did the switchmans' agreements basically accomplish the same thing
w/o permanently giving up "your rights" to be a foreman ?

Hey this is a nice prize so you've got to work for it !

Finally, the following are disqualified from participating due to contest
rules:Karl,Bob,Archie,Pete,Gary ,though they can be consultants to others.

I'm hoping this will generate other topics about how, why, when, etc people bid
and worked and changed runs.
