Norm, far more of a clarification (for myself as much as anything)
than a correction! I wouldn't have given this a second thought,
except I started looking for equipment purchased by the UPD&G. The
lack of an entry made me re-visit Hol's book. Those little "gotchas"
can be fun, or frustrating. I'm still trying to piece together parts
of Pullman's history and you'd be amazed (or perhaps not!) how many
times financial maneuverings masked the ultimate owner. It's not
unlike the construction aspects we typically find on
railroads. Unfortunately, this Lot will likely fall right in our gap
(of specifications) . Part of my research is to find copies of those
missing in our Library so as to more readily answer such questions.
