John-
According to a Joe Douda roster I have a copy of, the 211238 was 50' long and
was formerly B&MR # A-1.
It was built (rebuilt??) at Platsmouth in 10-01. I have two different b&w
views of the car.
There are several other cars that had B&MR A-series numbers but there is no
indication of what they were and they
appear to be different lengths.
I believe the car was used as a "Boarding Car" with a rotary snowplow.
I bet it was rebuilt from a coach or some other passenger car using standard
waycar details... the roof, door, windows, fascia, etc..
seem to be identical to the standard 4 window 30' waycar construction. I
think I've got a photo of another similar car but can't
lay my hands on it right at the moment.

I have a color slide in my collection that I would like to get information
on. It's a Q drover's caboose #211239 in orange paint taken in Sterling
Colorado 11-13-67. It appears to be at least 48' long, with seven windows on
the side shown. I have no clue as to where I got it and who may have taken the
photo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. John
