Ahoj Michael!!
I think you are getting beyond the Exposition Flyer with some of your
questions....
The use of TCZ domes on the Expo would be highly doubtful.... and certainly
not typical.
They would most likely have been used on the augmented TCZ. Some research
on exact
dates of delivery of each car would have to be undertaken and compared to
the inaugaral
date of the TCZ and CZ trains. I also doubt that the four
Diner-Lounge-Observations would
have been used on the Expo very much as they had other regular assignments,
even though later
they were more or less pool cars.
Of the Kato Budd Car sets only the Coach and Diner are of prime use.... the
Dome is from the TCZ,
the 10-6 is from the 1952 order. The RPO and Baggage are cars that were
assigned to other trains
at the time.
The Kato CZ set are all original consist cars including the 10-6 which is
different than the 1952 car from
the Budd Car set. These are your prime pre-CZ inaugaration choices.
For heavyweights you are going to have to do some kitbashing.... especially
for the D&RGW and WP
cars. The Pullman heavyweights will require patience as Micro-Trains
probably won't start releasing
theirs until late next year.
For the CZ foreign road stuff much is available... DesPlaines Hobbies has
the 442, 664, and a bunch of other
car types (including the C&O style coach and sleepers) as kits and built-up
cars. The new Walthers 10-6 will
represent the Rapids series cars which showed up on occassion; the old
Rivarossi version of the same car is
still pretty decent if you can find one in PRR colors.
