Summary:
Did the Burlington Pioneer Zephyr tour on the NP, GN, and SP&S
systems?
If so, what were the approximate dates in central Washington? Exact
dates would be great to know.

The Concur ad for their HO / N Pioneer Zephyr models mentioned a broad
tour for this train set. I have seen other references to such a tour,
which suggest that the trainset was in the Pacific Northwest in the
fall of 1934.

Background:
I have been researching details of the 1934 tour of the M-10000 to the
Yakima Valley (noted in the video "Tour of the M-10000"). An old time
Zillah resident mentioned the 'silver train' as being something
special. School children in Zillah lined the track to watch it pass.
He could not recall the yellow/brown M-10000.

The Concur ad and other references to a tour it seem reasonable to me
that the old time resident had seen the Zephyr, touring on the NP. I
showed him my Concur model. He thought this was the one.

Another old time resident remembers going to the Toppenish train
station to tour a train set (he also thought silver) in the mid-30's
time frame. Toppenish being exclusive NP territory would suggest that
the Zephyr might have been that train set.

I have found newspaper documentation of the M-10000 visit in local
newspapers, answering several of the questions which I had on routing
from Seattle to Yakima to Spokane.

I continued to dig through the 1934 year, and found no reference to
the Zephyr. By going into 1935, I did come upon stories about the
1935 North Coast Limited trainset on display in Yakima and Wapato on
May 26, 1935. The story mentions 75 scheduled stops over the entire
system, so another stop at Toppenish is reasonable to assume.

But my original question remains....

Did the Burlington Pioneer Zephyr tour on the NP, GN, and SP&S
systems?
If so, what were the approximate dates in central Washington? Exact
dates would be great to know.

Thanks for your help!
