Has anyone any reference to XAP-3?
I have a CB&Q equipment spreadsheet listing from 1967 that shows 23600-23634
built in 1965 as class XAP-3 (and XML-10).
However, the 1968 diagram book shows it only as XML-10, being a DF equipped box
car with no amendments on the diagram page, the ORER's show the AAR designation
as XML or XL (depending on the year), and BN showed it as an XL. In addition,
the doors were only the standard 10' wide, compared with 16' for the XAP-1's
and 20' for the XAP-2's.
Is this a "looks like, sounds like, walks like, so it must be" case?
