Don, a late inquiry but are there any pictures of Keokuk itself in the book?

I just got my copy of the book, TOLEDO, PEORIA & WESTERN IN COLOR, today
and it looks superb! I only wonder why something like this was not done a
decade ago! (with the same authors, of course). It should sell well as
the sharpness and color of the pictures is outstanding! Probably the best
part is the many shots of the original TP&W taken in Peoria itself, which
you rarely see in other published works. Seven of these shots were taken
on the CB&Q in Peoria, so even a CB&Q fan should by this book! One
particularly interesting shot is the one at the top of page 36 which was
taken at Monarch St. (now Krause) of East Peoria to Keokuk No. 120 about
to pass the south connection to CB&Q's Alley Track (where the truck scale
on SW Washington St. is now). It was taken May 3, 1966 so the Burlington
Elevator was still standing as well. Also, there a three shots taken of
TP&W trains in the Q yard itself.
I will bing this copy to the library meeting tonight at 7:00pm so you can
take a peak before you buy it. Of course all 335 PeoriaRails members are
required ot buy it :) Just kidding.
