All,
As many of you already know, I'll be leaving the St.
Louis area in August 2007 for a new military
assignment in Indiana. Unfortunately, I will not be
able to run the St. Louis RPM meet, which had been
tentatively scheduled for 24 and 25 Aug 07 at the
Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, IL.
There's just not enough time for me to organize and
run a large, regional event while finishing up one
job, starting another, moving the family, setting up a
new house, etc.
The good news is that the meet may continue under new
management. A few guys have expressed an interest in
taking over and keeping it alive. The size, focus and
location of the meet may change, but the people will
be the same--and that was really what St. Louis RPM
was all about. Great guys like Dave Davis, Dan
Kohlberg, David Jobe, Lonnie Bathurst, Ed Hawkins and
Loren Casey made the meet a huge success, along with
all our attendees, vendors, historical societies,
FreeMo guys, and the terrific folks at the Gateway
Convention Center.
And now...back to the work bench!
