Thanks for the list. On name that does not show up and I wonder why is Fox
River Butter Co. There was a siding off the east side of the viaduct at Spring
St into the facility in Aurora. But they used Union Refrigerator Transit Co.
cars. I have an Old photo and in Railway Prototype Cyclopedia Vol. 5 is a more
modern. Also remember to look in the back ground of photos. I found a later
era car in storage in a photo in a Boeing Aircraft Co. History

Every Dec I try to find some unpublished, uncirculated data to share
with the group and this yr Santa came to the rescue. A friend of a
friend found a Burlington reefer lettering/diagram book in an old
home being remodeled in Westmont (ex-Q Mechanical emp?). Previous
publications including a BB or two, have covered National Car fairly
well but noted some data as to all the lessee's, paint schemes, car
numbers, etc were not available. Well, here is what may be a pretty
complete list with drwgs dated from 1924 to 1937 with the bulk
being "32 & 33. The index is undated but appears to be several yrs
later as the number of cars in each series has diminished. In any
case here are 63 (SIXTY THREE!) lessees of National (the book also
has dwrgs for BRE, CS, FWD, WFE & FGE). Enjoy!
I'm listing them as shown in the index which is partially by yr but
certainly not alphabetical. The book also shows renumberings. Gerald
