You are all wet. The Oct 44 has a great article on the North Shore
Try Oct'46 Page 44-47(good paper in a pulp mag otherwise.) Some really great
photos

The correct issue for the Buda piece is TRAINS October 1944...not 1946...I
got to musing on this matter a few nights ago and remembered the piece I
recall was in TRAINS in the larger format which began about 1948 or 49...
I do have a few of the smaller issues...1940 to 48 or whenever...I have most
of the issues including October 1946...Fortunately my copy of October 1946
has an index of articles for TRAINS Volume Six...November 1945-October
1946....This index shows..."Buda S Curve Oct. 44.
I was fairly certain that the piece I recall is in one of the larger issues
ie after 1948 or whenever the change was made.
If you're not in a big hurry I'll look through some of the early 1950's
issues and see if I can find the issue I'm recalling...In the meantime, if
somebody has the October 44 issue that may be what you need.
