Roy Campbell was a Milwaukee businessman and railfan photographer who
amassed a huge steam locomotive photo collection from the 1920's to 1950's,
both from his own photography and by trading with others. In 1947-1949 he
was sales manager at Kalmbach Publications. Mr. Campbell died in 1965, and
his collection passed on down to the ownership of his grandson, who will
never part with it, but wishes it shared with people who will appreciate it
and recognize his grandfather's collection.
The Milwaukee Road Steam Locomotive photo book series is taken from this
