Jan,
I really can't tell what expense and hassle may represent an online
payment process for a non-profit organization, but I share your
feelings about the interest of such a system
No wonder how much internet based vendors in model RR would sell if
customers could only pay them by check and money order :-)
Having enjoyed access to SFMHS and C&NWHS publications since a few
years ago, I find it sad that BRHS commercial stuff/membership can't
be paid more easily, particularly from abroad

> Not to turn this into a 'why can't it be like this' thread, but I
am also of the same mind as you are. If BRHS would accept online
payment options (such as Paypal), I would have been a member a long
time ago. I'm a computer security consultant and I do online
transactions, not sure why the BRHS does not do so. I don't plan on
joining until some online payment method is available...I do most of
my banking stuff online now.
