Hello List :
As a BRHS non-member [I belong to a half dozen historical societies
and, on a Railroad Retirement annuity, it becomes a superrerogatory
economic burden to join all of those -- like the BRHS -- that I really
want to join], I wanted to tell others on this list about a
"discovery" I made recently.
I Found the Yahoo! list for the Fort Worth & Denver City, and also for
the Colorado & Southern! It is at:
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/TheDenverRoad/
It is a small list but it seems to be populated by historically-minded
folks who are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The list has just
started to open up into a regular discussion group and the listowner
told me how happy he was about that. They also consider the
"Burlington-Rock Island" in Texas as part of their discussion remit,
as well.
They've convinced me to go out and buy a used copy of Hol Wagner's
"The Colorado Road," and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of that
book by USPS so that I can further participate in group discussions.
