When a CB&Q car, like the 86' boxes Rupert was asking about, were in
assigned or "captive" service, was it possible that they never
actually ran on Q rails? For example, if some of these cars were
assigned to carry Chevy engines, could it be that htey ran between two
GM plants that were not even on or near Q rails?
