[CBQ] Re: Q waycar @ St. Cloud, MN

Last yr someone posted about seeing a steel Q waycar in a scrap yard 
while going thru St. Cloud on Amtrak.  Well, I drove over there tonight 
and spoke to one of the scrap yard mgrs (is right across tracks from 
Amtrak depot).  The waycar, ret'd in original full Q paint but with BN 
#, is spoken for by the scrap yard owner who it turns out is a railfan 
AND a modeler! He plans to eventually move it to some property he has. 
They contract with BN to scrap ret'd and wrecked cars, usually coal 
hoppers but have had cabooses/waycars from time to time.  He said these 
are few & far between now as there are not many left on BN so they are 
hesitant to scrap any more unless beyond repair.  He also indicated 
they have a waiting list to buy anymore that come in (no surprise!).
