The color of CB&Q freight F Units is the Third Rail of CB&Q Railfanning....
I haven't seen the N Scale F3s from Intermountain yet but from the picture 
on their website they appear to match the FTs.
The FTs IMHO represent the darker of the two shades of Imitation Aluminum 
that the CB&Q used and, while I prefer the
almost pure wide end of the spectrum, it is within the acceptable range for 
N Scale models.  (at least it isn't the Cadet Grey
that Hallmark painted their brass FTs!!!).
