Hello,
Well, the 11th is just around the corner and the Prototype Modelers
Meet in Rosemount looks like it will be a lot of fun with 6 all new
clincs.
The line up, not neccessarily in this order, will be:
Louis Claeson
A comprehensive analysis of the M&STL (Minneapolis & St Louis) 2-8-2
modernization program which will include detail on each locomotive
and the various differences among them.
Les Breuer
Assembling and detailing HO Rib Side Cars 40' Milwaukee Road kits.
http://ribsidecars.com/ . I have had a sneak Peek at Les'
presentation and it is a real winner. His years of experience in
contest winning model building along with his quality high
resolution
digital photography will be a real hit.
ESU Loksound
http://www.loksound.de/ will be down from their US office in Upsala
MN ( near St. Cloud) do demonstrate how their digital sound download
system works. Doug Hodgdon will be on hand to assist with further
decoder installation tips.
Jim Lawson
will also be giving a clinic featuring Railroad and Company
http://www.freiwald.com/ software. RAILROAD & CO. is the leading
family of computer programs for all digitally and conventionally
controlled model railroads. All programs provide a user-friendly
interface with point and click ease. The software supports all
leading digital and conventional control systems.
Jim Platt
History, photos and operation of the D&RGW (Denver & Rio Grande
Western) narrow gauge Gunnison branch. Jim is a real historian on
Colorado narrow gauge railroads and is a well known authority in the
local modeling community.
Bob Ball
I'm sure many of you are familiar with Bob's photography. His work
has been featured on numerous books by Kalmbach Publishing over the
years. Bob has been bitten by the digital bug and has some stunning
prototype photos that he will be sharing. We will be using the
auditoruim's overhead digital projector. He will also be speaking on
realated subjects like composition, photoshop, resolution and files.
The plan is for 2 morning clinics and 4 in the afternoon with a
break
for lunch(on your own). There are many nearby eating establishments.
We have the facility until 9 PM, and plan to run the clinics into
the
early evening hours if needed. I would also suspect there will be a
group of us going out for a bite after the show is buttoned up.
Contact me if you're interested.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
