FYI to Q O-scalers and O-gaugers:
Petersen Supply's O-scale Coors reefers (by Atlas-O) are now out. I
received road numbers ADCX 5412 & 5417 in 3-rail. Road numbers 5405
& 5409 are also available, but I understand that Petersen has sold
out all of them via pre-orders. I read on OGR Forum that another
run will be made to meet the demand.
The reefer's decoration appears to me to be accurate with respect to
the description in the BRHS BB on billboard reefers. Of course,
Atlas-O's wood reefer model is very detailed and fantastic (if
anything, the detail level renders it more fragile than most other O-
gauge reefer models).
In the last five years, the O-gauge market (Lionel, K-Line, Atlas-O,
Weaver, MTH, etc) has produced many reefer models in paint schemes
from the BRHS BB on billboard reefers. Ten years ago I would not
have believed it possible.
