Hello All,
That is an interesting topic on the reefers and it brings up a
couple of questions of my own.
1. Is there a book out there with that info? I'm interested in
the
Omaha/ Council Bluffs area in the late 60's.
2. From the Operating Data Sheet book, train 119 C.B. to Lincoln,
had auto parts for Denver.
Does anyone know where these cars originated & who brought them to
C.B.?
3. It also had bottles for Colorado Springs. Does anyone know where
these cars originated & who brought them to C.B?
I would think these cars originated offline anyway or I don't
know
why they would bring them to
C.B. from Pacific Jct.
4. I'm also assuming that 119 & 120 used UP's bridge to cross
the
Missouri River since they
had setouts/ pickups at S. Omaha.
5. Also, did livestock cars roam the country like boxcars?
Thanks,
Tom
