I would think the HW Pullmans would have to have a bulkhead between the
sections. No matter who's railroad they were assigned. If not, would you want
your
head to be next to another passenger's feet? The bulkheads would be like a
headboard.... the open sections lacked the privacy of say a drawing room or
compartment, but no there had to be some kind of a wall separating the seats
once
they were made up into beds.
