I visited the museum last year.  It is in the original Rock Island station.
There are two models.  A Lionel for kids on the lower level and a beautiful
club model on a mezzanine.  It is open to the public and the "guide" is able
to allow 2 engines to run.  The location modeiled is Council Bluffs on one
side and Omaha on the other.  Well worth going to.  The other place to go in
Council Bluffs is the original library building which is now the Union
Pacific Museum.
