The Downers Grove Turntable was an 80 foot electric drive deck girder built
by American Bridge in 1910 at Creston, Iowa and moved to DG in 1936
The table at 14st. was 79.75 and Aurora Passenger Depot 69.17 with the
roundhouse having a 74.67 foot Western Ave was 110 all were electric drive
deck girder style.

Subject: [CBQ] Downers Grove
Greetings,
I am interested in the yard, west of the Main St. station, in Downers Grove,
IL. It is my understanding that many of the dinkies terminated here and were
rearranged/configured for the morning commuters. Would anyone have
information (to include photos, operations, facilities, drawings, etc.)?
Feel free to
contact me directly >cbqfeeney@aol.com<.
Greatly appreciated,
Tom Feeney
