Bill Glick asked me to ask the group - anyone have access or know of
a photo of the diners on the 1930's Black Hawk clearly showing the
lettering? (BH was sucessor to the Mississippi Riverview & was the
Burlington's premier train between Chicago & Twin Cities until the
advent of the Twin Zephyrs when it ultimately became the night train.
PS - Bill is making good strides on the 3rd & last vol of his trilogy
of CB&Q hwt passenger equipment. If you do NOT have either of the
vol's I suggest you order soon as when they are gone, they're gone!
If you model post WWII remember you find the hwts even on major
trains especially on weekends, holidays, second sections etc not to
mention all the lesser and branch line trains PLUS Bill gives
renumberings to the many that entered MoW service. Gerald
