Although I can definitely see the dissappointment in receiving an
improperly painted unit, it hasn't been a problem for me since I
almost always buy undecs and paint myself. In LifeLikes defense, at
least they are the only manufacturer I know of that have produced
locos sans drop steps and endchains. Even the wonderfully done Atlas
SD24's,which I did buy factory painted, have those darn drop steps and
chains which must be removed. To me that is as much a Q signature as
the Mars lights.
I have not seen the Q Gp's, but if the error is as I understand, I do
believe they should stand behind a product that costs upwards of $200
and ensure customer satisfaction. I suppose they figure they're the
only game in town right now, and if you want GP9's they'll have to do.
