More properly, there has been criticism of the lack of an Archives, but this
predates
your involvement. Part of the problem has been a lack of communication and
a
definition of 1) the overall problem 2) the materials held on behalf of the
BRHS
3) the ongoing efforts to solve the Archives problem. We as members of the
society
have ourselves to blame, not the people who serve us....... and we should
thank those
that do serve for what HAS been accomplished, which is much.
I guess a BRHS members-only list is needed (to avoid unfortunate episodes
like the
Corbin Collection tirade) and I guess yet one more list won't generate that
much more
email as long as we don't duplicate messages between the two.....please!
BRHS members
should post to one or the other and subscribe to both..... if it is content
for BRHS only,
keep it in-family; if it is general BR interest keep it public.
