I seem to recall hearing that something like that was done on the first trip
of the 5632 that was sponsored by the Burlington itself, and not by any
railfan club. I'm not sure of the year, perhaps as early as 56 or 57, but it
was an
end-of-November trip IIRC. The Burlington offered sponsorship of the
successful trip to all the clubs, but they all turned it down because it was
well-past
