Hello again:
Was just flipping through a 1968 book published for Oregon's 125th birthday
and note a picture of the Quaker Oats plant. This building--south of the far
south yard track-near the east end--definitely was built for rail loading.
Yet this photo shows a bumper post at its west end facing west. The picture
is cropped tight, so I can't tell if this is a remnant of the second through
track shown in the 1928 chart, or is the surviving single track pulled up from
there to east switch Oregon.
Also came up with a BN 1991 switch list showing work at Carnation.
