I can't believe that I forgot about Zephyr #47 with its great
article on Oregon, IL including a 1928 track chart and info on all
the industries!! Especially the article on Kable Printing, which was
very much a going concernin 1967/68, shipping as many as 18-22
carloads in a single day!
Anyway, does anyone have a more recent track chart than the 1928
chart in Zephyr 47? If not, does anyone know which industries
mentioned in Zephyr #47 still had rail service in 1967/68? I'm
especially interested in whether Carnation was still being serviced
in 1967/68, and the status of the the industries along the "City
Line". Did the tracks and the freight house still in use in 1967/68?
Thanks,
Tom Mack
